Dinner Around the World
Ladies! Would you like to hostess a Dinner Around the World? Want a fun, easy and creative way to reach out to women you don't know well - or just want to have a great time with girlfriends? Hosting a Girl's Night Out Party in your home is an excellent way to open doors to women and share your love for Jesus with them in a non-threatening, comfortable way. During the evening, you'll explore four "old world" regions: the Americas, Persia, the Orient, and Polynesia. You'll enjoy a delicious, four-course meal (recipes included, or use your own). Then you'll enjoy getting to know each other with fun talk-starters. Pick up a kit at the Information Center. Please contact Pam Miller, Women's Ministry President with questions.
Game Night
All men and women are invited to game night on Saturday, March 26th at 7:00 pm at the Miller home (105 S. Wisconsin, Villa Park). Enjoy a relaxing evening with friends old and new! Please bring a snack to share, your favorite game and a friend!
Men's Basketball
Please note the time change for Men's Basketball beginning this week (January 4th). Due to Upward Basketball practices, we will start at 8:30 pm. All guys are welcome and encouraged to invite a friend!
Teen Quizzing
If you would like to dig deeper into God's Word, join us for Teen Bible Quizzing during CORE on Sunday nights. We are studying I and II Corinthians. All Teens are welcome!
Volunteers Needed!
Anyone interested in helping out with Wednesday Night Family Dinners (ie shopping, cooking, cleaning up), please see Pastor Bimber.
Aluminum Cans
If you have Aluminum cans to be recycled, bring them to the church in a plastic bag and put them under the stairwell at the South end of the building. Dave and Sheila Bergmann take them to be recycled and the money received goes towards our NYI program. This is an on-going program.
An Opportunity for Outreach
The purpose of this ministry is to try and touch the
Lombard Community that surrounds us by sending out cards and notes of
encouragement. Pastor Bimber is often called to minister to families in
the community who are in crisis due to illness or the loss of family
members. As a follow-up, we are looking for those who would be willing
to send a note or card of encouragement to let them know we care about
and are praying for them. To become involved, write your name and
e-mail address on the Card Outreach sheet that is at the Welcome Center
of contact Pam Donovan at p2jd@sbcglobal.net.
When we have the name of someone who could use some encouragement,
their name and address will be sent to you by e-mail and you can send
them a card.
College Student Addresses
Do you have a college student? Are you a college
student? We'd like to have your address to send church correspondence.
Please e-mail names and addresses to lori@lombardchurch.org.
