ABOUT UPWARD BASKETBALL---

Through Upward Basketball, children are exposed to quality coaching and sport development. Upward provides first class, organized and detailed sports programming. Unique aspects of Upward include an evaluation system that promotes equal and competitive teams as well as a substitution system which allows for equal playing time for all participants. Upward emphasizes character and integrity instead of a “win at all costs” mentality associated with today’s sports world.

REGISTRATION---

We are anticipating an exciting 2011 Season!  Please check the website in September 2010 for information about our next season!  Please call the church office if you have any questions.

EVALUATIONS---

Evaluations for the 2010 season are now over.

GET INVOLVED---

The Upward Season will begin in November 2010 and end with an Awards Night in March 2011.  There will be many opportunities for you to volunteer and be a part of an exciting Season 9!

UPWARD SUNDAY

Upward Sunday was February 14, 2010.  All of our Upward players, coaches and family were invited to attend our Sunday Morning Worship Service, which was followed by a meal in our gym.  Individual player pictures were taken as well.  We had a great time of fellowship and fun with our church family and extended Upward Family!

UPWARD CHARITY COACHES GAME

On March 13, 2010 we had our 2nd Annual Upward Charity Coaches Game.  The coaches of our Upward 2010 Season played in a game against each other along with a half court shot contest, giveaways and lots of fun.  Everyone attending was asked to bring a canned food item that was donated to charity.  A GREAT night of entertainment and fun held on the last game day of the  season!

UPWARD AWARDS NIGHT

At the end of every season, we wind things down by having Upward Awards Night.  This year's Award's Night was held on Friday, March 19, 2010.   All season participants are invited to come for an evening of recognition, entertainment and fellowship.  Each player is awarded a gift and their season picture.  There are individual awards given as well as a video that sums up the entire season.  Always a great way to relive an exciting season and look forward to next year!
