Children's Worship

10:45 am

Berto Lopez, Leader

Our children meet with the adults for the first part of morning worship. They are then dismissed to Children's Church. Great things are happening in Children's Church.

Missions Focus

The first Sunday of each month will be a focus on Missions with Rami and Kayla Rihani as leaders.  We will learn about how missionaries are "going and making disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19) and how we can do the same-whether the mission field be in Lombard or across the ocean.  The kids received a "passport to missions" book this past Sunday. Each month we will visit a different country and will learn about the country, it's people, and a Nazarene missionary family serving in that country.  At the end of each session each child will get a passport stamp for their passport to missions book.  The stamp will have the country's flag and the names of the missionaries that we learned about. All kids are welcome to join the journey!

SUNDAY EVENING ---

6:00 pm - Sunday Evening Worship

Please note that the first Sunday Evening Worship Service of each month will be devoted to a full service of prayer. Join us during this time as we share prayer requests and lift them to the Lord.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

9:30 am

Adult Sunday School classes and topics of study for Fall 2009 are as follows:

College/Singles/Young Married - Jerry and Kathy Bimber, Teachers

This class, which is designed for our younger adults, will embarkon a study entitled Holiness for the Real WorldWith a little instruction, and much discussion, we will challenge each other as we strive together to live a holy life.

Empty Nesters/Middle Agers - Rich Hill, Teacher

The class discussion will center on the book What Bothers Me the Most About Christianity.  In this honest approach to matters of faith, we will seek to clarify those important elements that are crucial to a living and dynamic Christian life.   A few sacred cows might be skewered in the process.

A Study of Jesus through the Gospels - Norm Kruithof, Teacher

This class is an inductive Bible study format.  During the year, all four Gospels will be read in their entirety, and they will be harmonized so that the clearest picture of Jesus will emerge.  If you would like a thorough approach, this class is designed for you.

Faith Connections - Millie Cermak, Teacher

This class will use the Nazarene Sunday School Curriculum.  After a brief emphasis on Better Bible Reading, most of the quarter will be spent studying the book of Hebrews, entitled A Better Way.  Along with the study, in this class there is a consistent practice of care and concern for others.

Adults, with brand new classes beginning September 20, 2009, if you've been looking for a time to start attending Sunday School, now is a great time to jump in!

The Ladies Bible study meets on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM, following the evening meal. During our time together we participate in a Bible Study followed by a time of prayer, sharing concerns in our lives, the church and the world. Please feel free to join us on a regular basis or now and then as your schedule permits!

Starting in July 2010, we will be studying 50 Days of Heaven by Randy Alcorn for our study on Wednesday nightsThis is a devotional book about Heaven -- there are short readings for each day.  On Wednesday evenings we will watch a short DVD summarizing the week's readings, then discuss.  There are 7 sessions in this series.  Questions?  Contact Pam Miller
